Unique Practice Style
I can usually schedule new patient intakes within a relatively short period of time. Often, I can extend appointments if you feel you need additional time. During initial evaluation and treatment, I strive to be in close contact with you, so that your condition is treated and stabilized as quickly and as safely possible. If you have questions between appointments, I try to respond to these by setting up a quick phone call, or via secure messaging.
I offer flexibility in terms of office or video or phone appointments, and even home or facility visits, depending on your preference and your condition. Billing is straightforward with a fixed hourly rate and credit card payments. Charges are for time and effort expended on your behalf.
As a physician-scientist heading a neuroscience lab at Stanford, I evaluated scientific evidence on a daily basis, and made decisions as to whether new diagnostic and treatment modalities were supported by validated scientific data. Hence, I provide diagnoses and treatment recommendations that are considered first-line, with a robust evidence base. I do not advocate treatments in vogue in the media or online, that have little scientific support.
Having practiced for 3 decades in an acute care medical setting (Stanford Hospital), I am exceptionally mindful of your other medical conditions and their treatments, and I feel very comfortable collaborating closely with your other physicians and providers.
